This installment of KTF is a collaboration between myself and Kevin Rolfe, formerly one half of Manchester-based art & music duo The Beards. Kev supplied a number of tracks, which I pared down, sequenced, and mixed.
In some cases Kev had no idea who the artist or what the song title was, and it reminded me of the time around 1990 when I first started going out. The DJ at the club where I’d go dancing would give me cassettes that had no information on them, and over the years it became a game to identify and acquire the songs I liked. Now it’s 16 years later and some songs still remain a mystery to me. To that end, the presentation is a bit different this time around. Some of you will know a few of these tracks right away, but I still gave the bare minimum of info.
